Sky-o-Swale and Sports Pad – A Sustainable Multi-Use Project
The Sky-o-Swale and Sports Pad stand out as one of our most impactful and meaningful projects, and we were honoured to be selected to bring this vision to life. Being part of such an innovative and community-focused initiative was a true privilege and a reflection of our dedication to delivering exceptional results.
The project included the construction of the Sky-o-Swale, a unique shade structure with integrated vegetation naturally irrigated by rainwater. Excess water is collected into a cistern and repurposed to irrigate community vegetable gardens. Additionally, we developed the MLSE/Jumpstart Sports Court, a vibrant recreational space designed to promote wellness and community engagement in the Kingston-Galloway-Orton Park neighbourhood.
Collaborating with an exceptional team that included ERA Architects, Sustainable.TO, Blackwell, and others, we took great pride in playing a critical role in delivering this sustainable and transformative space. This project highlights not only our technical expertise but also our commitment to contributing to projects that positively impact communities for years to come.
